2020 Olympics Go Online — Table Tennis Players Turn To Wii Sports, Gymnasts Left Confused

By Anusha Veluri | National News |

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics were originally cancelled due to COVID, but, to most everyone's relief, they have been revived! Most sports will be, somehow, held virtually. As aforementioned, table tennis players, tennis players, and wrestlers, among others, will livestream Wii sports to the rest of the world. The question remains, though, what about the gymnasts? What about the rowers? What about the marathon swimmers? Those who have no Wii Sports games dedicated to them, are simply left to fend for themselves.

Athletes who do know what to do, will upload all of their videos onto youtube, and audience members will be asked to record their live reactions (preferably loud ones) and upload them onto youtube as well, just to simulate 'the hype vibes inherent and true to the olympic games.'

Well, will these olympic games actually feel even semblant of previous, physical, ones? Only time will tell.
